one thing I love about starkid is that they have great songs with great lyrics like “what I see right there is a prisoner who’s sitting on top of the key” but then in the reprise of the song lyrics like “YEAH I’M SMOKING POT”
No one got hurt in this attack. Because the attacker did not use a weapon that can mow down people in seconds… it also didn’t happen in the US.
What’s that about “people will find a way if they really want to kill someone”? No, they won’t. Not having easy access to accurate, deadly, ranged weapons is an effective deterrent to a lot of potentially violent people.

i understand the historical reasons why English is the most common language
but if I was writing a speculative fiction novel
and I said “the language that most people learn as a second language, usually for professional reasons, is also the only one with a spelling system so terrible that spelling words correctly is a broadcasted competition”
you’d be like “extremely unrealistic 0/10”
